social media strategy, content creation + management for wine, lifestyle + wellness businesses
It's pretty clear by now that social media is here to stay. Yet it is also one of the first tasks that goes on the back burner when you are busy trying to accomplish a million other things in your business. Especially when platforms, like Instagram, are constantly adding new features that can be hard to keep up with. If you are looking to tell your story with intention and purpose and off-load your social media or other digital content needs, like creating content for your email newsletters, blogs or website, I can help.

More and more of your customers, potential clients and others are very savvy these days, and will search for your business on Instagram to get an idea of who you are and check out the kind of content you offer. Even when people aren't choosing to follow, they are coming to your page for information and you are making an impression. This means that your profile and feed serve as a visual portfolio and mini website that paint a picture of your business. This is why it is important to be active and post engaging, helpful content targeted toward your ideal customer. Additionally, many customers or potential customers will engage with your brand on social, tagging you in their posts or sending messages. You need to be there to engage with them back and show them that you care.

People who follow your business or brand on social media, or sign up for your email list, are there to learn more about your values, how you can solve a problem they have or how you can enhance their life. This is where we start when we tell your story.
digital content storytelling pillars
education
What can your followers or potential clients or customers learn from you?

How can you help your customers solve a problem that you have the answer to?

How can you help your customers feel smarter, more informed and/or confident about their lives?
connection
How can you make your followers feel connected to the business and your people?

What kind of conversations can you engage in with them around their values?

(Your customers become used to talking with you, come to know and trust you so it's super easy to buy from you.)

inspiration
How can you make your customers' lives more exciting or inspiring?

What do I offer that can bring more meaning to my customers' lives?

What shared values do my customers and I share and how can I create a conversation or story around that?

entertainment
How can I create a story around my products or services that is fun and relatable?

How can I speak about solving my customers' needs or problems in an entertaining or creative way?

How can I share my knowledge in a way that makes my customer smile or laugh?
At the end of the day, learning and growing (feeling like we are progressing in life), a sense of belonging/connection along with feeling inspired or enjoying entertainment are the things that bring us the most fulfillment in life. These pillars are the undercurrent of the stories we all have to tell. And these are the stories that I LOVE to help YOU identify and tell!

"People do not buy goods and services. They buy relations, stories and magic."
Seth Godin
Hey, I'm Rachel!
I am a journalist turned digital content strategist with a passion for creative storytelling through images, words and engaging in meaningful conversations.
I am also passionate about the wine business, having grown up in Sonoma County and worked as an editor for a wine magazine for the first 13 years of my career; and have a deep love for all things wellness: yoga, the mind-body connection, spirituality, nutrition, astrology, personal growth and human potential. I have written for a yoga magazine for several years and have attended hundreds of hours of trainings and workshops in all of the above.
These elements together are what light up my life! I look forward to meditating every morning just as much as I look forward to popping open an amazing bottle of Pinot with loved ones or new friends.

Not only am I passionate about the wine business and all things wellness, but I have worked in these industries and have an understanding of them. To me, this is extremely important when it comes to hiring someone to work on your content. When you hire a marketing agency, they may have big teams and lots of resources.
But when you hire me, you hire someone who understands (and LOVES) your industry; someone who has experience in content creation + management; and someone who loves to have meaningful conversations with like-minded souls, which are your customers!
